New Year's Weekend Cyber Sew-In Hows and Whats

This post will stay at the top till the Sew-In weekend is over. Everything will appear just below.

Participation in various activities during the weekend will earn you points in a drawing for door prizes.

1. Check in sometime between 5 p.m. New Year’s Eve and early Sunday morning (your time) and tell how you plan to have a quilty day. 1 point

2. A door prize is a prize for someone who shows up and comes in the door. That doesn’t fit a cyber retreat, does it? Come up with a better title for a cyber retreat door prize for another point.

3. Share a recipe—2 points.

4. Try one that is shared—2 points.

5. Show and tell—post a picture in the cyber retreat album of something quilty you’ve done recently. 2 points.

6. Tell a funny quilty experience or share a good joke—1 point.

7. Complete a lotto block—design TBA by Thursday evening. 2 points

8. Make something for charity. You can do a charity project of your own, or do a block for a project. 3 point each
          a. 12 inch finished red white and blue block for AHQ quilt.
          b. 6 inch finished block in pastels for a project Linus quilt or other
              children’s charity.

9. Volunteer to collect charity blocks and assemble a top. Five points.

10. Learn something new. Teach someone a quilty skill. Five points.

11. Offer a prize. Five points.

12. Finish a project. Five points.

Report on your points by 8 p.m. Sunday evening (Pacific Time.) This does not get you any points but must be done for your points to count toward the drawings.

Mystery clues will be posted here beginning Thursday evening and regularly during the cyber Sew-In time. It is designed to be done from scraps on hand or selected fabrics in dark, medium, and light values. Fabrics will be posted shortly.
