Okay, I have been told that the idea of this came up month or so ago. Believe me, a lot has happened in that month or so. I spent most of November in Arizona—two trips—one to help out my daughter whose husband was in the hospital, the other our annual Thanksgiving trip. While I was gone, the girls who were going to organize the Christmas pageant at church got hung up in school and job issues, so when I returned I was privileged to do that. Add in hubby’s doctor appointments, and December is long gone. Well, there is another hour and 25 10 minutes left of it.
So this mystery is not thought out ahead and tested. There may be some burps along the way. I will be testing with you.
So, the first thing we are going to do is cut. If you are using a two color theme, these cuts will be width of fabric and 1½ inches wide—equal numbers of your light and your dark. If you are going scrappy, then you will want the equivalent of that number of strips.
Baby size—12 strips of each value
Wide Table runner—6 of each
Narrow Table Runner—6 of each (I know that is not logical, but bear with me.)
Lap size—18 of each
Bed size—24 of each
If you are cutting at midnight, good luck, be careful, and happy new year. I will wait till morning to cut mine, as being awake might be an advantage.
I will post the sewing for these strips and the additional cuts to make your units first thing in the morning.
